Lando Norris continued his remarkable run of form to take pole position for the Sprint in Sao Paulo, beating Kimi Antonelli and his McLaren team mate Oscar Piastri to the honour.

The Briton was dominant on his journey to the top spot, finishing P1 in the sole practice session as well as in Sprint Qualifying, ending the day with a time of 1m 09.243s.

None of his competitors were able to improve upon his lap, with Antonelli being the closest challenger as Mercedes looked strong on the mandated soft tyres in SQ3.
